A high energy conference key note or a deeper dive, six-week community welcome, integration and confidence course for anyone — exploring Kiwiana culture, building local life skills, exploring ways to connect, and find confidence in life across Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Hello Kiwi uses English as the lingua franca – the shared bridge that helps people connect, collaborate, work and thrive in NZ.
Participants gain practical tools for communication, wellbeing, and success – in life, business, work and community.
Who it’s for: New comers, residents, migrants, returning Kiwis and partners of international workers, conference delegates, students – all levels of English welcome.
Format for learning

A snapshot 1 hour session can be delivered as a key-note conference or session highlight - A Whakatipu Welcome for those new to the hood and curious visitors to NZ, Good As Gold Mate.

Sweet As - Deeper learning with Hello Kiwi Community and Organisational welcome, induction and integration workshops

Ongoing option: Hello Kiwi Coffee Culture Club – an informal conversation and connection group , on line and in person monthly meet up opportunities, supporting clear communication in kiwiana culture, conversational Kiwi English practice, local updates, and shared projects.

Everyday Connection & Life Skills: Hello Kiwi - Kiwiana Welcome - Cross cultural communication, shared enjoyment of all things kiwiana. Practical language plus personal development – identifying needs and confidence-building, mindset and stress management, time skills, “create your own reality” principles for a positive living plan. Kiwi English becomes a tool for self-expression and balance. Introduction to the area, to each other - exploring potential and opportunities.
Work & Life in Queenstown Lakes - Help a Kiwi - Work to live - Intro to NZ Inc. Kiwi business and workplace culture. Communication and leadership for the region. Trust and Customer care, teamwork, initiative.
Community & Culture - What are we like? It takes a village to build communities. Culture as group agreements to ritual. Understanding global cultures. Kiwi customs, idioms, and local civics – how to get involved and make a difference in your village.
Friendship & Belonging - Where is everyone at? Curiosity and meeting people, finding belonging, events and opportunities, joining groups, volunteering. How to build support networks. Start ups, adventures, side quests and side hustles. Celebrating diversity and wellbeing through shared language and consideration.
Optional Field Trip – “Welcome to Our Place”
A guided half-or full day experience exploring local spaces, local stories and local history – cafés, markets, community spaces and community services – it’s a village of connection, practising Kiwi English, experiencing social and customer interactions in real life kiwi settings.
✨ Outcome: Exploring the Hood, Finding Home wherever we are, Confidence using language and life skills in everyday situations.
☕ Hello Kiwi Coffee Club
A friendly, ongoing meet-up where past and current participants connect over coffee.
Each gathering includes relaxed conversation practice, local news or service updates, and a short wellbeing or leadership micro-topic.
Participants may co-design mini community projects – such as welcome baskets, local volunteer drives, or shared storytelling events.
☀️ Outcome: Sustains engagement beyond the course – continued friendship, confidence, and contribution. Language in action, community in motion.
