Artificial Intelligence is already part of everyday life — from our phones and search engines to the way we write, learn, and plan.
This short community course makes AI and ChatGPT easy to understand and enjoyable to explore.
In a friendly, hands-on setting, participants will learn how to use AI tools safely and creatively to save time, spark ideas, and strengthen confidence in the digital world.
Designed and facilitated by Lisa Guy using her Adrenalearn™ framework, the workshops build real skills through conversation, demonstration, and practice — helping people see AI as a partner in learning, work, and life.
Workshop Aim
To build digital confidence and practical skills by introducing everyday people to Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT in a supportive, hands-on environment — helping learners understand what AI is, how to use it safely and creatively, and how it can enhance communication, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.
Key Learning Outcomes
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Demystify AI — Explain in plain language what Artificial Intelligence is and identify common examples of how it already operates in daily life.

Use ChatGPT confidently — Navigate the ChatGPT interface and use effective prompts to generate clear, relevant, and creative responses.

Workshop 1
– Meeting AI in Real Life
Purpose: Demystify AI and explore how it already shapes everyday experiences.
What AI actually is (and isn’t) — simple, relatable examples. What chatbots and generative AI do in everyday life. Real-world uses for home, work and learning. Limitations & risks — bias, misinformation, over-reliance. Staying safe online — privacy, fact-checking and digital footprints. Hands-on practice: guided prompts, assigning roles, writing, summarising, ideation

Workshop 2
– Making AI Work for You
Purpose: Build confidence and creativity in using AI tools for personal, study, and work life.
Prompting with purpose — the anatomy of a good prompt. Creative and practical applications — travel, study, home admin, work. Thinking critically with AI — ethics and bias in plain terms. Using ChatGPT as a coach, teacher and collaborator. Small-group challenge: apply skills to a real-life scenario
